"As I age I notice that it is getting harder and harder to see without a good light...
the Beam n Read is perfect to help my tired eyes."
- DeDa-Studios.com
As we age, we need more light to see as well as we could years before. So, when you need additional light, Beam n Read Hands-Free Lights make it easier to knit, stitch, read, write, work, or engage in personal tasks anywhere without being dependent on sufficient light from fixed or environmental lighting.
A Beam n Read light is helpful for individuals with the physical challenges that come with aging, from various disabilities, or sometimes due to accidents. The light is turned on/off by flipping the large reflector head up/down so operating the light is more accessible for those whose fine motor skills make pushing a small button or switch difficult.
Beam n Read Hands-Free Lights also perform nicely for mobility lighting. When it's dark, with a Beam n Read worn around the neck, users aren't dependent on having a steady hand available to hold a flashlight, a steady head for a headlamp, or a nearby object to attach a clip light. Hands are left free to push a wheelchair or hold on to a walker, crutches, cane, or railing, or to carry something while the Beam n Read lights the path immediately in front.
Beam n Read lights provide wheelchair users task lighting where they sit without needing to rely on room lights that may not shine enough light to their chair. These lights are very useful during power failures, night strolls, or lighting the path in a darkened theater to find standard or handicap seating.
Large clip-on acrylic Fresnel accessory magnifiers that come with the BnR LED 6m Hands-Free Craft Light provide additional help for those with minor vision challenges. magnification, 2X, 4X, and 6X. Just use the magnifier that's right for
you.

This Beam N Read Review is one of my favorite reviewed products in 2012! Why? Confession... I have trouble reading or doing sewing in low light. Anything up close, with low light and tiny letters...Forget about it! When I saw the Beam N Read, I thought "What a great design!". I have tried a zillion book lights and guess what? Most don't work. They either fall off the book or fall off the computer or just aren't bright enough. Well...the Beam N Read sheds light on all your up close work! I can now go back to cross stitching (which I LOVE!) but I have given it up because I simply cannot see because I can't get enough light on my work. What's not to love about this super convenient product that hangs around your neck and rest solidly on your chest with an adjustable strap?

As a book reviewer, I was interested in finding out how helpful [Beam N Reads]
would be for reading books and magazines. Due to my advancing age, I have joined
the senior crowd with a weakening eyesight that requires that I use reading glasses.
Would the Beam N Read Lights provide an extra boost?..when it came to reading in
bed...While the 3 Beamer Light was fairly helpful, I definitely preferred the 6
Beamer Light... I have also used the Beamer Light while reading in my car and
also sitting in my garden lounge chair during the early evening hours when natural
light is not very strong. In both instances, the Beamer Light proved to be very
very effective. The bottom line is that the Beam N Read Lights
is a worthwhile investment and will prove its worth in a multitude of situations.

We all need a little help at times seeing things clearly. And, as we, ahem, mature, we seem to need that help even more. In walks the Beam N Read light ... you're getting your money's worth, we think. Here's why: Besides the light itself, which is powered on 4 AA batteries and has six LED lights to show you the way, you have the option of using either three or six lights. The neck cord is adjustable, very comfy and truly leaves your hands free for playing. The light can be moved to adjust to your preferences. The Beam N Read comes with a special magnifying panel that can mount onto the light as it hangs around your neck. (We found this very handy when we worked with tiny seed beads on some embellishing work.) Last, it also comes with a couple colored filters that change the way the light will look. The orange filter softens light and reduces blue tones. The red filter will reduce night blindness when using the light in the dark. Both also will help to not wake your bed buddy while you stitch into the night.

Wow, I love this light! I suffer from macular degeneration and as you might know, that means we need a lot of light to help us in our daily routine.
It has 6 LED lights, two filters, a magnifying lens and a strap for your neck that is adjustable so it can be set to your desired distance. It does not put forth any heat, unlike other lights that can make it too warm to work. Which is wonderful in the warmer weather.

Let's face it. Stitching in the dark can be painful! For those of us with mature to overly-mature eyesight, it is important to have good lighting when you sew. So I suggest a light like this one called the Beam N Read.
This handy little gadget has a comfortable neck strap for my dainty little neck. Not only is it light weight, it has those extra long living batteries, and it doesn't get hot. There are 6 LED lights to light your path to better stitching.

The portability factor is endless as it's battery powered and takes AA batteries, not some button cell ones that are next to impossible to find let alone replace... The easy on/off feature of simply pulling the light head up or down takes away the confusion of searching for tiny buttons and switches in the dark.

Everyone knows those senior citizens who are criminally cool...And you don't have the foggiest idea what to get them this holiday season.
Consider a hands-free light from ASF Lightware Solutions, which will allow those seniors to geek out, craft, and exercise unencumbered... The lights come in handy for anything from reading e-books on the plane (without disturbing others), to crafting (e.g., knitting, quilting, needlecrafts), to outdoor activities (e.g., camping, fishing), to emergency situations (e.g., power outages). One day you'll be as cool as those hipster seniors. In the meantime, you can aspire to be as tragically hip as they are by getting them a great gadget this holiday season. Literally or metaphorically, you will light up their lives.
